About EverReady Australian Shepherds

EverReady Australian Shepherds is a small kennel located on a working dairy farm in central Wisconsin, near Marshfield.

Founder of EverReady Aussies, Lisa Ott got her first Aussie in 1976 to help her dad with the everyday chores around the farm. The Aussie's dedication to her job and family was unbelievable. Lisa knew she'd never be without one for the rest of her life. Now an Australian Shepherd Club of America (ASCA) and American Kennel Club (AKC) Hall of Fame member, as well as AKC Breeder of Merit, Lisa is pursuing ASCA provisional breeder judge status. Lisa registers her dogs in both the Australian Shepherd Club of America (ASCA) and the United States Australian Shepherd Association (USASA). She's also an active member in the local Marshfield Area Kennel Club (MAKC).

Puppies

EverReady Aussies strives to keep the Australian Shepherd "complete, breeding for a beautiful, versatile, structurally sound, healthy dog that can handle any task both mentally and physically."

EverReady Aussies are titled, actively compete and prove their merit. Many are ranked in American Kennel Club (AKC) and ASCA conformation, agility, obedience, rally, tracking and / or herding. They may be certified by Canine Good Citizens (CGC) and Therapy Dog International (TDI).

Before being considered for breeding, dogs are health tested for a variety of genetic defects and proven in competition. Parents of each litter are evaluated for temperament, soundness, health, performance aptitude and conformation. They are chosen to retain strengths and improve on weaknesses, always striving to attain the standard adopted by Australian Shepherd breed clubs.

Each EverReady Australian Shepherd puppy begins its life in Lisa's home where she provides socialization and early training. When they are ready for their new homes, puppies are carefully matched to new owners whose lifestyle and expectations fit the puppy's personality and talents. All puppies will be good companions, but some will show more aptitude for performance activities and others for conformation competition. Puppies that don't have the potential for competing successfully in conformation will be sold with a spay/neuter contract and limited registration which prevents any accidental litters from being registered. They are guaranteed agaisnt hereditary defects.
